Jordanian University Instructors’ Practices and Perceptions of Online Testing in the COVID-19 Era

It is widely known that exceptional circumstances inevitably call for the use of matching procedures. As there has been a change in face-to-face teaching methods, have also parallel changes student evaluation and assessment plans or strategies during COVID-19 era. This study investigates how affected online testing higher education institutions Jordan. For this purpose, researchers developed five-construct Likert-type questionnaire with 20 items distributed it to sample 426 university instructors. The constructs were internet technology, technical logistic issues, types questions, test design, students’ awareness. results showed Internet technology are essential guarantee successful performance testing. type design questions way eliminate at least reduce spread cheating. recommends provide instructors on-the-job training, not only e-learning techniques procedures but preparing conducting exams.
